so sweet!
I found this little apron at a recent flea market.
She is made from an old sugar sack.
She says "Sugar Sweet and Pure"
All her trim is hand sewn on.
I just think she is so sweet! No pun intended!

country living fair
Yesterday we went to the Country Living Fair.
It was packed, but we had alot of fun and spent way too much money!
Loved these witch scarecrows!
One of our favorite booths was nifty thrifty dry goods.
They had every color of ribbon, button and bauble.
Amazing. Spent way too much money there!
We also really loved willow nest farm.
Beautiful vintage french things!
And of course the pumpkin hill!

decisions, decisions!
Too much happening this weekend. We had to decide which to do first.
Springfield Extravaganza or Country Living Fair.
We chose to do Springfield Flea Market.
And we are glad we did! We got great stuff and had a blast!
Here is my little nieces first flea market.
(We have to break her in early if she's going to be a French Hen Farm hand!)
One of our favorite booths of the day was Flown the Coop.
It was happy and fun! Great stuff!
Nice meeting you ladies!
I also really loved this pink piece I saw. Wouldn't it be darling in a little girls bedroom?
My FAVORITE piece of the day was this cool seed bin.
I didn't get it, but its the one thing I keep thinking about :(
Notice on the far right side, my husbands hand checking the price tag.
What you don't see in this picture is his mouth telling me "no!"

black cat bad luck?
If you read my blog, you know how much I enjoyed the little kittens that a stray cat, who came to visit this winter, had in our garage this past summer.
I so enjoyed watching these two kitties play all summer!
We named them Fluffy Cat and Scaredy Cat. (for obvious reasons)
They are "teenagers" now!
We wanted to to get mamma fixed, but as soon as she had those kitties she got pregnant .....AGAIN!!!
This time, she had her babies the day we were leaving for vacation.
We watched in amazement as she popped out four kittens but then had to leave to get on the road.
She has been nursing them and moving them around the barn for the past few weeks.
It wasn't until yesterday that we discovered that it wasn't four kittens she had that afternoon... but SEVEN!
So now we have TEN black kitties! I sure hope they don't bring us bad luck, because needless to say, having TEN kitties, they are crossing our paths every minute!
My niece just became a vet and she has agreed to give a "group price" on getting everyone fixed once they are ready!

fun graphics!
I love black and white graphics like these bus signs.
But I really love these old signs that we found on the longest yard sale.
They say "Don't Waste Food! Eat every bean & pea on your plate... War Food Board"
Sounds like me at the dinner table every night!

Quailcrest Farm Herb Fair
One of my favorite Fall Festivals is in my home town, Wooster.
It is the Quailcrest Farm Herb Fair and is always the Saturday after Labor Day.
I went home for the day and picked up my mom to take her there.
And I met my little sister and her new baby there. Isn't she the cutest!!
They had all kinds of beautiful fall treats....

are you ready for Fall?
Its crazy how the weather changed this weekend!
One day I was swimming in the pool in 90 degree heat, the next I was wearing a sweatshirt!
I wonder if we will have an Indian Summer and get another shot of heat?
I'm ready for Fall!
And the barn is getting ready for the Fall Barn Sale!
